Suits fans will remember how fan-favourite Mike Ross (played by Patrick J. Adams) was sent to prison for fraud in the season five finale of the long-running show. But, when was he released? Here's everything you need to remember about the storyline.
When did Mike Ross get out of prison?

Suits focuses around talented college dropout Mike Ross, who begins working as a lawyer without any qualifications.
Keeping his secret for a number of years, he was eventually found out at the end of season five.
He was arrested for the conspiracy to commit fraud and sentenced to two years at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut.
But viewers will remember that he did not serve his whole sentence at the prison after working to frame a fellow inmate.

Suits: When did Mike Ross get out of prison?
He was presented a deal by Sean Cahill (Neal McDonough) to help ensure that fellow prisoner Frank Gallo (Paul Schulze) remained in prison as well as find evidence for the arrest of insider trader William Sutter (Alan Rosenberg).
He even remained in prison an extra day to catch Gallo's attack on him on tape to ensure he stayed behind bars.
After succeeding in this despite the risks, Mike was freed from prison in season six, episode nine.
In the moving scene, viewers watched him reunite with Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) who reassured him that his deal worked out.
Then in an emotional moment, he was reunited with his fiancée Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) as the pair embraced.

Suits: Which season was he released?
The reunion between Mike and Rachel was one of the most-loved moments of the season as the pair were finally together again after years of their on/off romance on the show.
After his release, he went on to become a legal consultant at the Legal Clinic in Queens.
Fans will remember that in the season six finale, Mike finally became a legitimate lawyer as he was accepted into the New York State Bar.
At the time, actor Adams spoke with TV Line about the arc of his character in prison.

Suits: Mike and Rachel reunited
He revealed to the publication in 2016: "He's finally shaken off the weight of this secret that he's been holding onto.
"He's finally paid the price, done his time, and he's back to the business of figuring out who he wants to be and what his life looks like.
"Of all the characters on Suits, maybe I'm biased, but I feel like Mike has undergone the biggest transformation from day one to now."
The actor also revealed that the prison storyline was a great new challenge for him on the show.
He added: "As an actor, it was great motivation [and] a great challenge. I got to feel like I was doing something brand new.
"I got to come to work every day, feeling like I did when we started [the show]."

Suits: The final prison scene was very dramatic
Although Adams did admit that he missed his fellow cast mates, so he was more than pleased when Mike was finally released.
He said: "It made me pretty desperate to get out of there and rejoin the force, be able to be outside a little bit."
Fans were pleased as well to see the beloved character reunited with the rest of the cast.
